You have been associated with BJP for a long time and have been a senior party MLA. Why did you suddenly decide to leave BJP?

I have not left the BJP, but I have resigned to stay away from the party for some time. Until I get justice for cutting my election ticket. The national leadership has made it clear that if a sitting MLA is denied a ticket, the party (BJP) must state the reason behind that decision. Neither they gave me any reason nor did they tell the secret behind cutting my ticket. The public is very sad with this decision but I am not saddened by this decision, I am surprised. If I were unhappy, I would not have decided to contest elections as an independent candidate.

You have resigned from the BJP and yet you are not openly accepting or denying that you have left the party, how will it go?

I have full faith in the BJP’s election strategy and after winning the election I will rejoin the BJP. The Congress, BSP and a local party repeatedly contacted me to contest on their ticket. But I rejected them directly. Although I am contesting as an independent candidate, I am still a BJP leader.

The kind of statements that I have used, did the party pull me out during these years. Had it been removed, it would have been an attack on my own loyalty and honesty. The party did not do this.
